The next generation of Google Analytics called Universal Analytics is now available to all users, specifically those who are internet marketing savvy.
The new version, which will track visitors across multiple platforms including desktop, mobile and tablet, was designed to initially available as a beta version to Premium customers using the latest Measurement Protocol, but the Analytics team of Google confirmed that it is ready and available for all users.
New users have option of using the “Classic Analytics” or switch to the “Universal Analytics;” however, existing accounts are not being automatically transitioned to the new platform. Universal Analytics supports standard website metrics like visitors, visits, and pageviews, and also features like event tracking and AdWords account linking.
The old custom variables are replaced by new features named custom dimensions, along with convenient and easy to use custom metrics. Several all-new features such as the multi-platform tracking will be launched soon.
