New York-based Internet firm Ajax Union has revealed new tips on how to choose keywords for local internet marketing campaigns, including onsite and offsite content.
The SEO company, which suggests RankZen.com as an ideal keyword research software, explains that the first step in picking a keyword is finding search terms that are related to the company.
“Keywords are the starting point of every local internet marketing tactic, from Pay-Per-Click (PPC) ads to blogging, and are also the biggest factor in determining whether SEO efforts will be successful. Keywords with low search volumes won’t do much to increase traffic and while irrelevant keywords may bring more visitors to the site, they are unlikely to result in conversions”, said Matt Sieracki, Onsite SEO Manager at the Ajax Union.
The company also recommends “choosing keywords with medium-level search volume and relatively low competition, as those are typically easier and less costly to rank for” as keywords are integral to any local internet marketing effort, including PPC, press releases, blogging, social media outreach, and onsite content.
