****UPDATE 7/5/2013****IMSoup.com will be announcing a Video Genesis bonus designed to provide the one thing that seems to be missing from the Video Genesis training. Stay tuned, as IMSoup.com will be announcing the details shortly before the launch of Video Genesis, which has been postponed to the afternoon of July 9th.
The Video Genesis Pre-Launch period is now open and the first video was released on June, 18th. In their first video Mike and Andy shared some valuable information to start off the training with a bang. They focused on the ‘what not to do’ of video marketing. Within their video they made an example video highlighting the most common mistakes they’ve seen. They said that even the best videos out there still make several of these mistakes. With just a few simple corrections, the quality of your videos can increase exponentially! This was just the first video of many, but it set the bar high for the remaining pre-launch training. The pre-launch for Video Genesis, a new product from Andy Jenkins and Mike Filsaime, is set to go live on June 18th, 2013. Because the product is being touted as the most comprehensive video marketing course ever created, and likely biggest launch of 2013, IMSoup will be bringing you ongoing coverage starting with this Video Genesis review.
For the sake of full disclosure, we have not yet seen the full course, but we have had a sneak peak into to some of the content and will be gaining access to additional content soon. We will keep this review updated as we learn more.
The course had its genesis (sorry, I just couldn’t resist) back after Filsaime purchased Jenkin’s famed Video Boss course back in 2010. Video Boss is famous for not only quality of content, but also for it’s prodigious size and sheer mass. After starting to digest the content and realizing the monumental task of just getting through it, he rang Jenkins up and asked him to summarize it for him.
That call started a relationship which is culminating in Video Genesis. Filsame and Jenkins’ collaboration led them to identify 13 different types of videos (Powerpoint, Keynote, Prezi, Doodle, Talking Head, Animation, Walk and Talk, etc.) that are used for marketing purposes. Rather than simply summarize Video Boss, they ended up creating “recipes” and check lists for each of the 13 video types.
That is the format that the Video Genesis training will follow. It will teach students what type of marketing video is best for their situation, and then give them detailed yet simple to follow recipes for creating them. The recipes will not only include technical instructions on how to make the videos (including detailed lists of equipment needed, resources, etc.), but extensive instruction regarding content and marketing strategies.
Filsaime and Jenkins have been working on this product for nearly a year, and have dropped numerous hints over the past several months about the content. Between the two of them, Filsaime and Jenkins have spent millions of dollars testing the effectiveness of various video marketing techniques. Their self proclaimed goal is to use that cumulative experience to try to make Video Genesis the best video marketing training ever to be brought to market.
The two marketers recently shared that the main goal of the training is to help their students promote “The promise of the premise,” or in other words, to demonstrate what exactly their product is going to do for their customers. Marketers need to guide their clients, and put their product into proper perspective, and demonstrate what the marketer and his product can do for the customer.
Andy Jenkins has a strong background in both video/film production as well as marketing. His film industry resume includes credits as a producer at Haxan Films, and he has worked on many popular movies including “The Blair Witch Project.” He was able to carry that experience over to the Internet Marketing industry. His most popular product is the Video Boss training program. Video Boss was designed to help veteran internet marketers amplify their marketing efforts through the power of video, and sold thousands of copies of the training sold at a $1997 price tag.
Mike Filsaime is a legend in the Internet Marketing industry. Mike started out in the sales and marketing business as a manager of some of the largest auto dealers in the United States. He was able to use these skills to quickly become a successful internet marketer when he switched professions in 2004. Since then he has learned more and tweaked his business, resulting in an efficient, simple, but profitable business which he continues to guide today. Marketers around the world have heard of and used his products such as the Butterfly Marketing Script and his Evergreen Business System.
Video Genesis goes into pre-launch on June 18th, and will be available for purchase starting July 2nd, 2013. Filsaime and Jenkins will be offering high level training throughout the pre-launch period, but opt-in will be required. Click here for more information.
IMSoup will be updating this Video Genesis Review as more information becomes available. We will also be offering a bonus in order to make increase the value for our readers who decide to buy the product. Stay tuned for more information about our Video Genesis Bonus.
