Samsung has officially launched a white version of its Samsung Galaxy Note smartphone exclusively from John Lewis in the UK.
Running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread with TouchWiz user interface, the handset, which comes with the same specifications as the original, features a 5.3 inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, a 1.4GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and the on-board memory comes with a choice of 16GB and 32GB.
“At Samsung we always want to offer our customers choice and are delighted to bring the Galaxy Note in white to the UK. The Galaxy Note is an innovative addition to the Samsung Galaxy family and a new category of device that consumers can’t get anywhere else,” said Simon Stanford, managing director of Samsung in the UK.
The Samsung Galaxy Note White Edition also packs 8 mega-pixel camera with an LED flash and a 2 megapixel secondary snapper for video chat, as well as equipped with pen input technology dubbed as the S Pen to allow users operate the device with their fingers or the accompanying Smart Pen.
The white Samsung Galaxy Note, which is also available via third-party online retailers but with a more expensive tag price, is priced at just over £400 and will come with £250 worth of free music, films and e-books to the first one hundred customers who buy the device in John Lewis in London’s Oxford Street.
